چکیده

We have analysed an effect of the Bak-Sneppen predator-prey foodchain self-organization on nucleotide content of evolving species. In our model, genomes of the species under consideration have been represented by their nucleotide genomic fraction and we have applied two-parameter Kimura model of substitutions to include the changes of the fraction in time. The initial nucleotide fraction and substitution rates were decided with the help of random number generator. Deviation of the genomic nucleotide fraction from its equilibrium value was playing the role of the fitness parameter, B, in Bak-Sneppen model. Our finding is, that the higher is the value of the threshold fitness, during the evolution course, the more frequent are large fluctuations in number of species with strongly differentiated nucleotide content; and it is more often the case that the oldest species, which survive the food-chain competition, might have specific nucleotide fraction making possible generating long genes.

DYNAMIC COMPLEXITY OF A THREE SPECIES COMPETITIVE FOOD CHAIN MODEL WITH INTER AND INTRA SPECIFIC COMPETITIONS

The present article deals with the inter specific competition and intra-specific competition among predator populations of a prey-dependent three component food chain model consisting of two competitive predator sharing one prey species as their food. The behaviour of the system near the biologically feasible equilibria is thoroughly analyzed. Boundedness and dissipativeness of the system are e...

An Analysis on The Lotka-Volterra Food Chain Model: Stability

The food chain refers to a natural system by which energy is transmitted from one organism to another. In fact, a food chain consists of producers, consumers and decomposition. Presence of complex food web increase the stability of the ecosystem. Classical food chain theory arises from Lotka-Volterra model. In the present paper, the dynamics behavior of three level food chain is studied. A syst...

Permanency and Asymptotic Behavior of The Generalized Lotka-Volterra Food Chain System

In the present paper a generalized Lotka-Volterra food chain system has been studied and also its dynamic behavior such as locally asymptotic stability has been analyzed in case of existing interspecies competition. Furthermore, it has been shown that the said system is permanent (in the sense of boundedness and uniformly persistent). Finally, it is proved that the nontrivial equilibrium point...

The effects of facilitation and competition on group foraging in patches.

Significant progress has been made towards understanding the social behaviour of animal groups, but the patch model, a foundation of foraging theory, has received little attention in a social context. The effect of competition on the optimal time to leave a foraging patch was considered as early as the original formulation of the marginal value theorem, but surprisingly, the role of facilitatio...
